Hello CBCA! My name is Maria LeVinus. My husband Chuck and I are so excited that the Lord has led us to Central Baptist Christian Academy as the new Administrator.
I have already started working and getting ready for the 2024-25 school year. We believe that the Lord has brought us to your school. We have been praying for Mr. Krewson since December 2023, when we heard about his desire to leave his position after many years as the school Administrator. After meeting and praying with him, I felt the Lord’s leading me to do whatever I can to help with this transition.
My husband and I attend Bethel Chapel Church in Harpursville, where we live. We have been married 24 years and have 4 grown children, three grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
I retired from Hillsborough County Schools, in Florida 7 years ago. Throughout my career, I have taught all ages from Kindergarten to Adult. I have run and supervised afterschool programs, have taught in high schools and adult education, and have administrative experience supervising and training teachers. I have earned bachelor’s degrees and am teacher certified in both Education and Special Education K-12. I also have a master’s degree in early childhood.
In retirement, I have worked for two Early Childhood organizations that have kept me current and active in the field. I believe that my years of experience in the school district as well as my work during retirement will benefit CBCA. The Lord has been gracious to me over the years giving me avenues to use the knowledge I have gained.
My motivation comes from the Lord and my prayer is that He will direct me every day as I serve at CBCA. The greatest decision I have ever made in my life was to accept Jesus as my Savior! My life changed at age 15 and continued to change as I realized what dedication to Him was all about. He has been my shelter and strength throughout my life! I covet your prayers every day and I look forward to meeting and talking with you all!
