Who We Are

Founded on the Word of God, Central Baptist Christian Academy was the vision of the pastor and members of Central Baptist Church, in Binghamton, NY way back in 1970. Convicted that Christian Education was a necessity in our society, CBCA was born.
In 1971 the school taught Kindergarten - 3rd grades.
In 1972 they added the 4th - 6th grades.
In 1973 CBCA included grades up to the 8th grade.
1974 was the first year that all grades, Kindergarten - 12th grade were implemented.
Since 1971 we are pleased to be allowed by God to serve the families of the Southern Tier of New York and Northern PA.
Central Baptist Christian Academy is a wholly-owned and operated ministry of Central Baptist Church, Independent of Binghamton, NY. As such, we fellowship or associate with the various organizations including: the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches (GARBC); The Empire State Fellowship of Regular Baptist Churches (ESF); The New York Association of Christian Schools (NYACS); the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS); the Baptist Christian School Association of New York State (BCSANYS); and the New York—Pennsylvania Christian Athletic Conference (NYPENN CAC). Six sister Baptist churches contribute regularly to the financial needs of CBCA. We serve over 90 families from 43 churches and 14 school districts.

We believe that the Bible is true; that man is sinful; that God is holy; that Jesus Christ is the only source of salvation and righteous living; that the parents are responsible for their children; and that the church has a duty to reach and teach the world. We consider ourselves to be fundamentalists in our handling of the Scriptures; Baptists in the way we organize our church; evangelicals in our desire to see others come to know Christ; patriots in our love of America ; and conservatives in our approach to economics and social issues. We do not accept state or federal aid in any form, but rely entirely upon tuition, fees, and contributions to meet our needs.

CBCA Teaches

What Do We Teach
CBCA is a traditional Christian-day school, with 150 students in grades K4-12th. Our curriculum uses the best textbooks, mostly from Abeka and Bob Jones University Press, to teach all subjects from a distinctively Christian perspective. All our students study Bible, English, math, science, history, music, health, and physical education. High school courses in Spanish, computer, and fine arts are also offered.

STATEMENT OF NON-DICRIMINATION
Central Baptist Christian Academy enrolls students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin, and affords them all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to all students of the Academy.
The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, athletics, and other school-administered programs.
