Our Summer Planning Meeting is Monday, July 26th, 5:30 pm for Dinner and 630 for the meeting - everyone is invited! This will be held at Bob and Gail Macauly's house. They live at 1512 Old State Road, Binghamton, NY. Please call to RSVP @ 775-0487 or email @ macteam@flmtgif.org. Meat , drinks, and table service will be provided. Please bring a dish to pass.
PTF Tidbits
3 New fans were purchased for the classrooms in the middle of the Gym-Ed Bldg. The PTF is also replacing several teacher lap top computers and Tonie Liddle's office computer.
The ongoing clothing drive is a wonderful way to clean out unwanted items as well as help others who are less fortunate than you. Your donations also bring in money to our school through the per pound donation that CBCA receives for the goods we donate. More details are available on our Fundraiser web page.
Bake sales are another way to support our efforts. If you would be willing to bake or help with these sales, please contact Chris Cole or Debbie Fernandez.
Our lunch program not only feeds our students and staff, but also feeds our PTF efforts to assist the school with many projects including the second school van acquired last year that has been paid for in full! Carol Davis and her volunteers do an excellent job providing our school with a fantastic lunch program.
Your feedback and participation is vital to our impact here at CBCA. If you are a parent or guardian of a student, or a faculty or staff member here at CBCA, you are a member of PTF! It's important that you support the PTF with your time and talents so we can continue to help keep tuition increases to a minimum.

The 2009-2010 School Year marches on!
Bob Macaulay is serving as President and Jim Willis is serving as Vice President of our PTF this year. We are looking for more people to become involved! Please let Bob, Jim or Mr. Krewson know if you would be willing to serve as a volunteer in the Parent Teacher Fellowship. It is our goal this year to have each and every CBCA family contribute a small portion of their time to volunteer with at least one activity sometime during the school year. Please consider your interests and strengths as you plan how you can make an impact for the school's benefit.
Your feedback and participation is vital to our impact here at CBCA. ANYONE who is a member of the PTF (which includes all parents or guardians, faculty and staff) may attend the monthly planning meetings and may vote! You may propose items for the agenda, offer motions, and participate in all votes taken at the monthly meetings. The executive committee members are very interested in involving more parents and staff in our monthly meetings. Please attend! Meetings are held the first Monday of each month (except for the September meeting, which is the second Monday) in the Science Lab in the Gym-Ed building.
What happens at a monthly meeting? You'll get a flavor of it by reading minutes from past meetings, which will be posted on this page as a downloadable PDF file. In short, we talk about fund raising (of course!), but also about how to improve the programs and facilities of CBCA, and ultimately how to ensure a God-honoring atmosphere is created and maintained at CBCA so that our children grow "in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." We want to raise smart kids--but we also want to raise godly kids.
Another thing most people don't realize is that the PTF is responsible for running the school lunch program. We are also the umbrella organization that oversees the Booster Club. All told, the PTF has a yearly budget exceeding $40,000! That's money parents don't have to pay in higher tuition costs.
